Phoenix Cove Adult Day Center has been an incredible place for my mom to go a few hours a day. My mom has dementia and it is great for me to run errands while she is busy with physical exercise and socializing with other adults her age.

Tips for Managing Caregiver Stress

Take breaks: It's OK—and necessary—to rest. Even a few hours of respite can help prevent burnout.
Stay connected: Caregiving can be isolating. Support groups, church communities, or a quick coffee with a friend can help you recharge.
Ask for help: Don’t hesitate to involve family, friends, or professional services.
Prioritize your own health: Your well-being matters too. Stay current on your own medical appointments and sleep, nutrition, and exercise.
